Rekindle is a daily question app for couples. Each day, both you and your partner receive the same thoughtful question. You each answer independently, and once both have responded, the answers are revealed together — sparking real conversation without the pressure of coming up with topics on your own.

After signing up, you'll get a unique code (like ABCDE-1234). Share it with your partner — they enter it in the app and you're instantly linked. Your first question appears as soon as both of you are connected.

Rekindle is currently available on iOS (iPhone and iPad). We're evaluating Android support based on demand — stay tuned.

Yes. Both you and your partner need Rekindle installed so you can each answer the daily question privately on your own device.

Questions span 7 categories: Lighthearted & Fun, Memory & Nostalgia, Dreams & Future, Gratitude & Appreciation, Curiosity & Getting Deeper, Intimacy & Connection, and weekly Check-ins. They include text responses, multiple choice, and slider-type questions to keep things varied.

A fresh question appears each morning based on your timezone. You and your partner have 24 hours to answer before the question expires.

You can swap today's question for one from a different category with a single tap — as long as neither partner has answered yet.

If only one partner answers, the question expires at the end of the day. The answer stays private, and a fresh question appears the next morning. No guilt — just a new chance to connect.

Power-ups are earned weekly — 1 per week starting from the day you connect. They can be spent in two ways: writing a custom question for your partner, or checking whether today's question was secretly written by them.

Spend 1 power-up to write your own question. You choose the text, pick a category, and can even make it multiple choice. Your partner sees it like any regular question — they won't know it's custom unless they spend their own power-up to check.

After your partner has answered, you can spend 1 power-up to find out whether today's question was handcrafted by your partner or came from Rekindle's curated library. It's a fun little game within the daily ritual.

No. Unused power-ups accumulate — you earn 1 immediately when you start, then 1 more each week. Use them whenever you like.

Yes. When one partner subscribes, the other gets full access automatically. There's no need for both people to pay — one payment covers both of you.

Rekindle offers two plans: $4.99/month or $34.99/year (saving over 40%). Both include everything — daily questions, all 7 categories, power-ups, and encryption.

You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings: go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Rekindle → Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Subscription details and any available trial offers are shown on the plan selection screen when you first open the app.

Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one through reportaproblem.apple.com within the refund window.

Absolutely. Every answer is encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key unique to your couple. Not even the Rekindle team can read what you write.

We collect only what's needed to run the app: your account info (email, name), your encrypted answers, and anonymous usage analytics. We never sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Yes. You can request account deletion from within the app's settings. All your data — answers, account info, and encryption keys — will be permanently removed.

Pull down to refresh. Both partners need to answer before the reveal unlocks. If your partner has answered and it's still not showing, check your internet connection and try again.

Make sure notifications are enabled both in the Rekindle app settings and in your iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Rekindle. We only send two types: when a new question is ready, and when your partner answers.
